ABOUT
- Dorothea Lange
Based in the Bay Area, my work is about documenting life - the places we go, people we meet, families we make. I love my job! I love photographing nature, weddings, families, and my own travel and adventures. Photography is an amazing tool for capturing moments, for providing a memory of some of the most important events in life.
I have a degree in Environmental Studies, studied film making at Brooks Institute and have since worked in the documentary film industry. I have contributed to numerous publicly broadcast films, both through filming and in post production, and have run an independent documentary film distribution company in the Bay Area..
I have a passion for the environment, developed during my childhood spent camping, hiking and exploring in the wild both in Colorado and California. I dream of combining this passion with my love of photography in order to make incredible change in the world! My greatest hope is that the images I capture are inspiring, transportive, or evocative of a memory or a different perspective of life.

VIDEOS
This short documentary is about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). It focuses on one farm, Rio Gozo Farm, and illustrates the benefits of participating in a CSA, and how, in doing so, people are building their own communities.
This short documentary is about the idea of upcycling and how artists are helping to reduce our impact on the environment by reusing old materials. Miriam Creach and I made this video for a class project. It still needs some work but we wanted to finally show it.
Save Our Shores is a non-profit organization focused on marine conservation and they are dedicated to caring for California’s Central Coast through “ocean awareness, advocacy, and citizen action.” I edited this video for them to promote voting yes for Proposition 67, the ban on single use plastic bags, which was passed in the 2016 California elections.
